So by now, we all know that there is going to be a new look to the PS Store and although a new look is always welcomed (mostly when its functional and elegant like XMB) functionality is always nice too. So its nice to hear Sony talk about that a new look isnt all they have in mind for PS3 users. First is the impending release of an open Home Beta but that we already knew. The second is more vague but equally interesting. Sony’s Scott Steinberg stating:
On the network side, we’ve stated that we’re in a closed beta now for Home, we’ll be rolling out functionality later this year, both for the Network and making Home public to others. So 2008 is going to be the year where both on the service side as well as on a Blu-Ray side, you’re going to see everything that we’ve got.
Now this could be merely talking about the PSP/PS3 Blu-ray functionality or a whole lot more. All I know is that the PS3 has alot of hidden gems inside of it, its just up to Sony to also find them and release them so let your mind run wild with this one and share some of your speculations with us. Lets see how wild we can get this rumor to be.
