During the first year of the PS3 (and good god, was it a long year for Sony fans) Microsoft had no real competition would always come on stage with random numbers. How many times users clicked on a button and how long a download took per cat life seconds. Now in year two, although the PS3 is still one year in production cycle behind and still pricier, continues to out sell or be neck in neck with the 360.(Funny how the only number Microsoft dosent want to throw out there is the 360 failure rate) With that tradition of course comes, NUMBERS! Now recently, many have noted that Japanese developers are falling behind their western counterpart and I believe part of that is due to their lack of online embrace while most western game have some form, if not a very comprehensive online mode. So its no surprise to see slower adopt rate for the PSN in Japan. But no more! as PSN user mark has crossed the 1 Million mark in Japan. Its really a surprise that it took so long because of such a higher Wi-Fi adoption (makes downloading content from the PSN to the PS3 to the PSP) and much more PS1 classics on the Japanese PSN store. But we congratulate the 1 Million Online Members of Japan and challenge them to some Grand Turismo 5 or Metal Gear Online. Friendly of course.
