The Sony Pictures Studios, powered by one of the biggest stars of all time (Will Smith) scored box office gold again with their newest picture, Hancock. Scoring a $108 Million during its opening weekend, the Superhero smash hit has now hit the $170 million mark in just under two weeks. Released on July 2nd, Hancock has been the #1 grossing film everyday except on Friday where after 11 days, the film slipped to #2 with the release of Hell Boy II: The Golden Army, finishing in 2nd place for weekend. Sense then, the film continued to top the charts, out pacing HellBoy after two weeks in theaters. This is Will Smiths 12th film to cross the $100 million mark and his 8th film in a row to be #1. Will Smiths life time gross from his movies stands at $2.4 Billion. Look for the Will Smith/Sony Pictures next project, Seven Pounds in theaters on December 12th, 2008.
