With no fancy 4K recording like the flagship Xperia Z2, Sony is making entertainment the focus of their newest tablet. This results in a new stereo speaker design with S-Force Surround Sound for better audio while watching movies and playing games. Sony has also repositioned the speakers from the sides to the front where you won’t as easily cover them and thus, muffle the sound. Music fans should about the built in Digital Noise Canceling technology, ensuring richer audio from any headphone plugged in.

Speaking of gaming, the Z2 Tablet incorporates support for the PlayStation DualShock 3 controller for a better gaming experience. Tapping into expertise of the Bravia division, the Xperia Z2 Tablets 10.1-inch screen features a FHD Triluminos Display and Live Colour LED with vivid details and bright colors. To further push the entertainment theme of the tablet, Sony is tapping into Sony Pictures and bundling six films from the studio.

Coming in black or white, the Sony Xperia Z2 Tablet will launch worldwide in March. Sony has yet to issue a price point though it be hard to imagine the entry model not starting at $499.
