Xperia M Dual 4.3 SoftwareXperia M Dual users can now update to 4.3 Jellybean.

The official Sony Mobile page shows that version 15.5.A.0.18 is available and has been labelled 4.3 Jellybean.

Users will be pleased to know that the update includes several new camera features including Burst Mode and Superior, a sleek new UI combined with better graphics handling and a newer Battery Stamina Mode to name a few.The update seemed to go from certified to available to users in the blink of an eye, here it is:

Xperia M Dual 4.3 Update

Sony has given this info on what the update contains:

  • Google Android 4.3 (Jellybean) bringing a smooth UI and graphics enhancements
  • New version of Battery STAMINA Mode for longer battery life
  • Updated camera interface bringing Burst Mode, Superior Auto & More
  • Updated applications from Sony featuring Walkman, Album, Movies & More
  • Latest security enhancements from Android 4.3

Where did Xperia Themes go?

The new Xperia Themes unfortunately are not listed as a feature here. Much noise was made about this cool new addition beforehand, available on Xperia phones running 4.3 and upwards. Initially, this was listed as a feature for single M, but appears to have been since removed, and users complained on the Xperia Care website that despite being indicated as new feature, themes simply don’t install. Hopefully Sony Mobile will clear this up in a fresh update to fix the issue.

Something else that caught our eye; the Xperia M Dual software update page (and the single M) list 4.3 has the latest update but not the final. Sometimes in the past when a new major update was rolled out, this would change from latest to final. Let’s not mention the K word but maybe we’ll get treated to some more feature updates. We’ll keep an eye on this and report back if there’s any changes.

Here is the usual Sony software for updating for Windows and Mac.
