Just last week, Sony finally brought season pass support to Video Unlimited and PlayStation Store. With season passes, users can purchase an entire season of a show, even prior to episode releases know that the episodes will be ready for them to consume once released. Season passes is already available on the PS3 through Video Unlimited and the PlayStation Store. Those on the PS4, and 2013 and later Bravia TV’s, and Blu-ray players will have to wait a little while longer with support for season passes on those devices ‘coming soon.’

The fact that Sony’s flagship console is getting this feature after the PS3 is quite bizarre though not unique. The PS3 enjoys a variety of entertainment services like HBO Go, Vudu, and more which cannot be found on the PS4. To help celebrate the occasion, Sony is offering  a full season pass to The Walking Dead (in SD) starting at $5.99 From Sony:

The feature launches on PS3 and PS Store online via the web and mobile, with PS4, BRAVIA TV’s, and Blu-ray Disc players support coming soon. Simply click the Buy Season button to purchase all existing and future episodes in the season and they will be added to the My Videos section of your PlayStation Store or Video Unlimited account. To help us celebrate the launch of the Season Pass feature, we’re offering special discounts on full seasons of our most popular TV series including The Walking Dead. Full season promotional prices for The Walking Dead begin at $5.59 for SD, so make sure to check out PS Store starting October 30th for specific details and stay current or catch up to anything that you’ve missed!
