Sony Xperia Z4 Specs Leak?

Sony_Xperia_Z4_Leak_Internal_1

Thanks to the GFXBench, the popular benchmark program, we might have our first glimpse at what powers the Xperia Z4, the next Android flagship smartphone from Sony. Sporting the E6553, a model number we’d seen previously that was believed to be linked to the Xperia Z4, the benchmark, if accurate (and we have little reason to believe it’s not), reveals quite a bit and puts to rest the 1440p or 1080p screen rumors.

Details after the jump.

According to the revealed benchmark, the Xperia Z4 specs include a 5.1-inch (1080 x 1920) display. In contrast, the Xperia Z3 offers a 5.2-inch display and while the difference is not significant, there is a good chance that with .1-inch shaved off from the display, Sony can further improve the ppi and in turn, offer better colors and a sharper image. Powering all of this will be the previously reported Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 chipset (1.9GHz octa-core processor and Adreno 430 graphics).

Other under the hood specs include:

  • 3GB RAM
  • 32GB Internal Storage
  • 20.7-Megapixel Rear Camera
  • 5.0-Megapixel Fron Facing Camera

It’s worth pointing out that the Sony Xperia Z4 Tablet and Xperia M4 Aqua also offer the same 5.0-megapixel front facing camera. As for the OS, like the Z4 Tablet and M4 Aqua, the Xperia Z4 is expected to ship with Android 5.0.2. With leaks coming more frequently, it’s likely that Sony is gearing up to announce their next flagship device.
