For those with an affinity for smaller devices, the Xperia X Compact which was announced in early September is a blessing. Take all the power and specs of the Xperia X, a 5-inch phone and put in the smaller, 4.6-inch displayed Xperia X Compact. Now, that phone has been priced for the US with pre-orders opening up.

Those interested in the Xperia X Compact, which is offered in Misty Blue, Universe Black, and White, can pre-order it now through Amazon for $499 in the US. For those looking to purchase the compact phone, Amazon, the mega online retailer, is sweetening the pot by offering a $50 gift card with each order which effectively drops the price down to $449. Sony had previously announced that the Xperia XZ and Xperia X Compact will be skipping a Canada release.

It’s unclear how long those gift cards will last but with the phone launching on September 25th, it might not be for long. And yes, the Xperia X Compact fits perfectly in your pants’ “butt pocket” as the above picture so perfectly displays.
