PlayStation 4 users can now purchase The Last of Us: Remastered and pre-order Madden NFL 15 and Diablo III: Reaper of Souls – Ultimate Evil Edition (also available for PS3).

Last week, it was announced that
The Last of Us Remastered isn’t coming out till the 29th of July on the PlayStation 4 but that doesn’t mean Naughty Dog isn’t hard at work tweaking their highly-praised game. Once the game is released, which will technically be tonight at midnight, gamers can expect to download The Last of Us Remastered patch 1.01 that brings it some promised additions like a ‘Photo Mode’ and a locked 30fps option.

One of the most baffling omissions from the PlayStation 4 has been the ability to support Blu-ray 3D playback. A functionality that the PS3 gained many years ago, and one that even most sub $100 Blu-ray players support has till now been a cause of hesitation for home theater buffs who have an extensive collection of Blu-ray 3D films. If they move onto the PS4, it means playback will no longer be possible so either would-be upgrade have to keep both PS3 and PS4 or hold off till Sony brought the functionality to the PS4. To make matters worse, Microsoft recently announced Blu-ray 3D support would be coming to the Xbox One, making Sony’s own console lacking in the media playback depart despite Sony being one of the biggest champions of Blu-ray and 3D.
Today on the PlayStation Blog it was announced that the PlayStation Store PLAY 2014 Program would be kicking off after the PlayStation Store updates this evening. Just like in previous years, PlayStation has selected 4 upcoming titles over the next 4 weeks to take part in the program. This year they will be focusing on cross-buy (PS3, PS4, & PS Vita) indie games with the likes of PlayStation exclusive Hohokum and Rogue Legacy (be sure to be on the look-out for our review before release next week) being two of the participating titles. To sweeten the deal, those folks that pre-order or purchase more than one PLAY game will receive a voucher for PSN credit later. Keep reading to see the rest of the details and the other two participating titles!
Media Molecule, the developer of LittleBigPlanet and Tearaway, has revealed a little bit about their upcoming, still-unannounced PlayStation 4 title, including a very short teaser trailer. But their method of teasing their new game is quite different from most early reveals.
