Capcom recently confirmed that they will be bringing an enhanced version of the critically acclaimed Okami to the PS3 called Okami HD, and it’s coming with PlayStation Move support and other goodies.

Originally released on the PlayStation 2 back in 2006, the game was met with critical acclaim, winning multiple game of the year awards. In Okami HD, players take control of Amaterasu, a Japanese goddess who takes a wolf form to restore the land of Nippon after Orochi turns it into a wasteland. Using Amaterasu’s magical Celestial brush, players turn the world into a Japanese scroll, where he or she must draw symbols which have dramatic effects on the game world itself.

Okami HD will come with widescreen 16:9 aspect ratio, HD graphics, Trophy support, and of course, the aforementioned PlayStation Move support. And speaking of the Move support, players will use their Move controller as their own personal Celestial Brush. Players must use the Move controller to draw symbols onto the scrolls to defeat Amaterasu’s enemies and restore order and beauty to Nippon.

Of course, Okami fans looking for traditional controls will be happy to hear that Capcom is also including the original control scheme (Dualshock) featured in the original game.

Okami HD is set to release as a digital download from exclusively on PSN in North America and Europe this fall.
