Sony Introduces God of War And inFamous Game Collections For PS3

To coincide with the much anticipated Ratchet & Clank HD Collection for the PS3, Sony recently introduced that they will be releasing the God of War Saga and inFamous collections later this year. Starting on August 28, 2012, the publisher will begin releasing the brand new (and feature/game-packed) collections with noticeably silver-and-gold colored packaging for an affordable $39.99.

For the amount of games and features that are included in these collections, $39.99 seems like a steal. Why do I say that?  Check out the game collection breakdown after the break.

With God of War Saga Collection, players will get five full games spanning Kratos’ storied adventures. What you’ll get in the package are:

  • God of War (HD)
  • God of War II (HD)
  • God of War III
  • God of War: Chains of Olympus (HD +3D Support)
  • God of War: Ghost of Sparta (HD + 3D Support)
  • Exclusive Bonus Content
  • Voucher for 1 Free Month of PlayStation Plus

With the inFamous Collection, players will get two full games as well as the Festival of Blood DLC along with extra missions, costumes, and weapons:

  • inFAMOUS
  • inFAMOUS 2
  • inFAMOUS: Festival of Blood
  • Extra missions
  • Additional character costumes, power ups and weapon styles

Again, for $39.99 each, these collections are a steal. With God of War Saga, players will be getting the full God of War experience for the price of one game. The same applies to the inFamous Collection. One can pick up these games individually through retail or on PSN, but that would altogether cost more than $200.

Do yourself a favor, pick up the God of War Saga and inFamous Collections if you’ve managed to hold off on playing these great games. Stay tuned to SRN for news on release dates.
