Though the Sony VAIO Ultrabook T14 and VAIO T15, powered by Windows 8 were on full display at CES 2013, Sony managed to play coy with specifics like ship date, price, and specs. Now, Sony has announced the two units for Japan, giving us a clearer picture as to what we can expect from the two units though pricing still hasn’t been mentioned, even for the homeland. As expected, Sony will be releasing both units, sometime in Spring for the US while Japan will have their chance to buy each model on February 9th. Sony VAIO T15 specs include:

• Intel Core i7-3537U processor (2GHz)
• Touch-screen 1920 × 1080 (full HD 1080p)
• Up to 8GB RAM
• 1TB hybrid hard disk (HDD + SSD)
• BDXL Blu-ray Drive

Note that many of the above specs are the maximum the unit is capable of like the RAM which will translate to Sony offering different models at different prices.

Sony VAIO T14 Specs (Ultrabook):

• Intel Core i5-3337U processors (1.80GHz)
• Touch-screen 1366 × 768
• 750GB hybrid hard disk (HDD + SSD)
• Up to 8GB RAM
• DVD Super Multi drive
