Sony VAIO DUO 13-inch Leaked?

Sony VAIO Duo 13

Think what you may of Windows 8 but the VAIO Duo 11 is one mean machine. The hybrid laptop/slate combination is designed to give you what you want from a notebook in a post-PC era with flash memory, Intel Core i7 Processor, and full touchscreen compatibility. Slide the screen down and your notebook gets transformed to a Windows 8 tablet, all be it a thicker one. Now thanks a leaked video and press image, it seems that Sony is set to followup the VAIO Duo 11 (with an 11.6-inch screen) with a 13-inch variation.

As you can see by the video, a device looking all too familiar to that of the VAIO Duo is seen collapsing and opening again. The video in question was apparently filmed for a Dixon (think UK Best Buy) training. The 13-inch version of the VAIO Duo allegedly offers:

  • Intel Core i5 processor
  • 4GB RAM
  • 128GB SSD
  •  8-megapixel camera with Exmor RS sensor
  • backlit keyboard
  • ClearAudio+
  • ActiveSleep tech

If all this holds true, much like the Duo 11, the VAIO Duo 13 will likely allow for custom options like more RAM and hard drive space. Thanks to the larger design, it’s also believed that the VAIO Duo 13 will offer 10 hours battery, versus the 5 hours offered by the Duo 11.

Are you intrigued by the VAIO Duo 13 and if you could, what would you change about them ?
