Gaming With Heather: Cloudberry Kingdom and Raging

It isn’t uncommon among friends and fellow gamers to discuss what games you’re playing. Personally, I love to hear what everyone is playing so I have a better lead on what I may enjoy! With that being said, I would like to make this my little place to share all my PlayStation gaming endeavors of the week.

Recently, I have accumulated quite the backlog of PlayStation Network games due to their fabulous sales. So for the last couple of weeks I’ve been playing and streaming some of the coolest and most rage inducing indie games in my library. My most recent purchase and what has really stood out this week is Cloudberry Kingdom.

Don’t let the adorable name of Cloudberry Kingdom and the cute character selection fool you. This platformer is a full-fledged controller breaker. Cloudberry Kingdom is being celebrated for its randomly generated arcade levels, and can go from fun to hardcore in a matter of seconds. If you are wanting to subject your friends to this cruel and unusual torture then you’re in luck because this game also features multiplayer.

I can easily say that I enjoy platformers, but that doesn’t necessarily mean I’m good at them. Cloudberry Kingdom definitely drives this point home, but it sure is fun and addictive. I found myself cursing at everything possible, but pushing on. It’s just one of those games that completely tortures you, but you get a very real feeling of accomplishment when you pass just one level.

I have subjected myself to several hours of Cloudberry Kingdom and have barely scratched the surface of it all, but I am hooked! I was able to make it to level 62 on the game’s story mode before rage quitting. Due to streamer requests, I even attempted Escalation in arcade mode, but was quickly ran out of life and patience.

Be sure to check back next week for more of my PlayStation video game adventures!
