PlayStation 4 System Software Update Version 1.60 Now Available for Download; We Have the Details

As expected, Sony has released the PlayStation 4 System Software Update version 1.60. The free update can be downloaded via your PS4 and including compatibility for the soon to be released PlayStation Gold Wireless Stereo Headset as well as bringing support for the PlayStation Pulse Elite Headset. So what other changes does the new firmware bring with it? We’ve got the details, after the jump.

According to Sony, the PlayStation 4 System Software Update version 1.60 address three major things which include:

  • Picture quality during DVD playback has been improved
  • Wireless stereo headsets (CECHYA-0080/CECHYA-0083/CECHYA-0086) are now supported
  • You can now mute the microphone for the PlayStation Camera

While the changes weren’t as substantial as we thought, it’s still good to see that Sony is making good on their promises while also listening to the community with features like muting the PlayStation Camera.
