Happy New Years everyone! As you may have been aware PSN and as well as other services suffered from a DDoS attack which prevented  users from accessing their service during the Christmas break. Now that services have been restored PlayStation would like to thank you for your patience and as a show of appreciation they are extending some offers from the Holiday season.

For starters the flash sale was extended, however a post the PlayStation Blog this morning thanked members for their patience and outlined additional offers for members. The post indicated that anyone with an active or free trial membership on or before December 25th will have their memberships extended automatically by 5 days. The extensions will rolled out over time and users will be notified by PlayStation. Additionally users will be given a one time use discount code good for 10% off the total cart purchase on the PlayStation Store. The discount code will be made available to all PSN members at some point during the month.
