OOVOOPS4

Great news for PS4 fans who are eager for more media options.  ooVoo is set to arrive on the PlayStation 4 later this year. As shown in the video, Brian Liebler, VP of ooVoo, a video streaming service similar to Skype, gives us some details on what the service has to offer.  Keep reading for more.

We’re hoping that’s it’s going to be available in late Q2 of 2015.

Liebler continues within the video mentioning some secret features that they plan on unveiling later on when the app is released. For now the PlayStation Camera will be the only camera supported by the video chatting application. Additionally, you’ll be able to watch YouTube videos while in video chat on your PS4 and while streaming on Twitch. You will more than likely need to create a ooVoo account until they sort out the kinks with syncing with PSN.

Hopefully this app will allow us to video chat as we play video games as well so we can see our friends’ faces as we own them in an online match. Other features that would be nice to see from this would be video parties of 8 users similar to the party chat feature that Sony has built into the console. However, only time will tell if such features will be added to this service. Until then we can only speculate.

What would make this Video Chat feature a must have for you and your friends?
