PlayStation Now Subscriptions Heads to PS3

For those unfamiliar, PlayStation Now is the game streaming service from Sony which allows you to play a large library of PS3 games. The service is already available in a wide variety of devices and comes in two flavors. You can either rent specific titles for different time periods with different price tiers to go along with it or you can opt for unlimited streaming for one price. Think Netflix for gaming – though it’s worth pointing out that selecting a la carte gives you more variety than the subscription. Till now, the subscription tier, which has a robust library of over 100 titles, had only been available to PS4 owners, but all that changes later this month.

Come May 12th, PlayStation Now subscriptions will be available on the PS3 as well as PS4. If you have both consoles, there’s no need to worry as your login will work on both units. Sony has promised that PlayStation Now subscriptions will expand to other devices like televisions, Blu-ray players, and PS Vita though no dates were given. Here is a look at some new games available for May which include Fat Princess, F1 2014, Sanctum 2, Dynasty Warriors: Strikeforce, and Farming Simulator.
