Destiny: The Collection Includes Every DLC For Just $60

I’m not going to say Destiny is the greatest game ever created but I’m also not going to say it’s not. In fact, nearly four years into PS4’s release, the game that I routinely go back to is Destiny. Don’t get me wrong, the game surely lacks the cinematic and emotional storytelling of Uncharted 4 but when I have some time to kill, Destiny is the game I can easily reach for and sometimes a quick 20 minute session turns into a 2 hour raid which I’m also okay with. That’s why I’m beyond excited for Rise of Iron, the newest DLC, which will drop on September 20th (a day before my birthday) and is set to bring new areas to explore with new guns, enemies, and strikes.

But for those of you who haven’t had a chance to explore the world of Destiny, Bungie is about to make it a lot easier with Destiny: The Collection. Set to be released alongside Rise of Iron, the new collection which is priced at $60 includes the core game and the previous 3 DLCs which include:

  • Expansion 1: The Dark Below
  • Expansion 2: House of Wolves
  • The Taken King

In addition to the previous three DLCs, the collection also includes Rise of Iron, making it a pretty sweet deal and a hell of a lot of game for the buck. Those who pre-order Destiny: The Collection or Rise of Iron will also receive the black and silver Iron Gjallarhorn exotic rocket launcher and Iron Gjallarwing sparrow.

Byron Beede, Senior Vice President of Destiny at Activision:

Destiny – The Collection is the perfect starting point for gamers who have yet to experience Destiny. Destiny – The Collection contains some of the most engaging content Bungie has ever created and the soon-to-be released Rise of Iron. It also includes a character boost that will allow new players to instantly join in with friends who are already enjoying Destiny.

As for Rise of Iron, you’ll be getting:

  • Level 40 Character boost to bring your Guardian’s level up to Rise of Iron
  • New Strike and redesigned fan-favorite Strikes
  • New six-player Raid
  • New enemy faction
  • New competitive maps and a new 6v6 mode, Supremacy
  • More quests, weapons, armor, and gear to earn
  • Light Level increase

If you’re not playing Destiny, you’re doing yourself a disservice as it’s one of the most robust and satisfying shooters out there that includes a genuinely fun community to play alongside with. Like Rise of Iron, Destiny: The Collection will only be available on PS4 and not PS3.
