Sony Ericsson Cyber-shot C905, 8.1 Megapixels and Alot More

The Sony Ericsson Cyber-shot C905, codenamed “Shiho”, is rumored to be announced on the 17th of this month. Why should you care? Because this sucker boast a 8.1-megapixel camera with “auto focus, face recognition, a new feature called Smart Contrast, image stabilization, BestPic, red-eye reduction, xenon flash as well as photoflash for both photos and videos.” So you might already be impressed by that. But further rumors put the phone with a GPS, an accelerometer, 2.4-inch QVGA display, TV-out, Wi-Fi, DLNA support, Bluetooth and USB 2.0 transfers. If there is one company who knows how to keep products high tech, stylish and in size, it continues to be Apple Sony.

Sony Ericsson Paris Video Confirms Some Rumors

I CALLED IT! WOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I must say. Nothing feels as good as calling out a few rumors and having them be true (and trust me, when I talked about the up coming Paris from Sony Ericsson, I mentioned everything possible from V8’s to Mini Fridge) so its no surprise to see a new promo video for the Sony Ericsson Paris and having it confirm to do a few of the things I had posted rumors about it doing. So remember, it worked for me and it going to work on firmware 2.4. So next time your clueless about something, just say anything and everything (and yes I love Carpet works) and its bound to come true. After all, it works for our government.

Sony Ericsson launches Z780 and G502 cellphones

With the slowing economy comes a slow down in consumer spending. Whether that means just buying less or spending less on particular items. With that in mind, Sony has just launched a pair of mid ranged, handsets, the Z780 and G502.

The clamshell Z780 will be packed with UMTS/HSDPA 850/1900/2100 and quad-band GSM/GPRS/EDGE radios. While it comes loaded with Google Maps for Mobile and aGPS navigation and a 2.2-inches and 320 x 240 pixels screen. The Candybar like G502 also features Maps but lacks the aGPS. Both also include M2 memory expansion, Bluetooth and a 2 Megapixel camera for you iReporters out there. Expect these guys in Q2 (what were in right now). So see, there’s still plenty of bank for your buck for those who arent looking to spend a fortune in these times. For those who are, wait for this puppy cause it’s gonna be one monster.

Leaked Sony Ericsson Paris

It seems like Sony Ericsson has a new phone in development. Although there isnt much known about the new phone dubed as “Paris”,the rumors go that it’s a slider, runs Symbian UIQ 3.3 and has a pretty frackin huge screen. If this picture is also to be believed, it seems like its running a weather based widget, similaryly found on the iPhone or OS X.

HP Goes all Blu-ray for Europe

HP is a company who upgrades their computer lineups more often then not and this continues to be the case for Europe. Although HP itself is part of the BDA, they also supported HD DVD and seemed to offer them more so then BDA but thats all past news. The new “Pavilion dv2800, dv6800 and dv9800 series models, which boast 14.1, 15.4, and 17-inch displays, respectively, along with your choice of Core 2 Duo or Turion 64 X2 processors, integrated graphics or NVIDIA GeForce 8400M or 8600M (depending on the model) and even a Blu-ray burner on the 17-inch model. If you’re looking for something other than a traditional laptop, HP’s also busted out an update to its monster HDX-9000 desktop replacement series in the form of the HDX-9300, and a new Pavilion tx2300 tablet PC (only the former boasts a Blu-ray drive).” So although not every unit is boasting a Blu-ray and how can we blame them when laptops can be as cheap as $300, its nice to see more Blu-ray units on the market.

Looking for an Ultra Portable Laptop? Look No further

When most people hear 2.5GHZ T9300 processor, GeForce 8400M graphics, 4GB ram, optical drive (and the usuals like webcam, bluetooth and N wireless) a desktop is what comes to mind but Sony had an Ultra Portable in mind instead with the 13.3-inch VAIO VGN-SZ791N and for $2,500, it can be yours. Still not sure? well then take PC Mags word for it as they have given the little beast a 4.5/5, having it beat the Asus U6S, Acer Ferrari 1100, Fujitsu P8010 and MacBook Air in every test. Not too bad dare we say. Now, im mainly using a Vaio FS550 so we wouldnt mind a promotional/sponsor/gift/charity VGN-SZ791N at all Sony. How about it? Cause using an old laptop isnt as exciting as you would think. (just please, no Vista)

Remember the Sony Ericsson XPERIA X1? Its Still Coming Out This Year!

sony_xperia-x1_1.jpg

There has been some speculation that Sony would not be able to meet their Q2 release date and that it would be pushed back till February 2009. But Sony Ericsson Corporate Vice President of the Global Communications Aldo Liguori would beg to differ. In fact, he goes on to state in his blog that “I can confirm that we will be launching the X1 product in 2nd Half of 2008, as per our announcement of 10th February.” Sounds good to me (although were still not sure who will carry it) although im assuming its AT&T.

Hit the jump for a recap of the phone and its features.
