If handled properly, the Sony Xperia C5 Ultra and Xperia M5 could be two hot selling devices for Sony. Each phone shares some similar components like a fantastic 13-megapixel front-facing camera, designed to give you a better ‘selfie’ than you thought possible from that camera. Yet each phone has its own unique traits like the 6-inch display on the C5 Ultra (versus the 5-inch of the Xperia M5). But bigger doesn’t mean better as the Xperia M5 offers 3GB RAM and is more durable with a IP65/68 water- and dust-resistance design.

If you want to know more about the two smartphones, take a look at our initial coverage. Having already been available for pre-order in Hong Kong, Sony has now turned its eyes towards Taiwan where the two phones just received a price and release date.

Set to arrive in mid-August, the Sony Xperia C5 Ultra will first make its debut in three colors – black, white, and mint with a price of NT$ 11,900 (£237, €334, $369). Sony is also launching an official SCR40 Style Cover Stand case for the phone with some unique features.

Come early September, the Sony Xperia M5 will hit retailers at NT$ 12,900 (£257, €362, $400) in gold, black, and white. Like the C5 Ultra, the Xperia M5 will also have its on unique SCR48 Style Cover Stand case.

It’s unlikely that these phones will make their way to North America. Sony hopes that by providing a powerful front-facing camera and two day battery life among other things, it will be able to tap into a younger generation with a price point that’s more affordable versus flagship units like the Xperia Z series which can go for as much as twice that.
